Dear choristers,

This is a gentle reminding  about our International Festival for Choirs and Vocal Ensembles “CANTA EN ANDALUCÍA 2017 (CA2017)”

We are receiving an increasing number of participation requests (5 confirmed participants and 8 requests received until today). Please note that our actual limit is in 12 choirs or ensembles. Do not wait till the deadline (July 15th), if you wish to came to Seville and sing with us this is about time to complete your application to participate at: http://www.cantaenandalucia.com/participa/solicitud-de-participacion/?lang=en

We warmly invite you to participate in the International Festival for Choirs and Vocal Ensembles CA2017 and to spend a memorable time together in autumn 2017.

The CA2017 is not a competitive festival, the idea of the festival is well summarized in Gabriel Gracía Márquez cite “singing just for feeling alive” and this will be our reward.

Social aspects as well as culture promotion are important for us. Andalusia is one of the most beautiful and interesting regions to visit in Europe. In fact, talking of music, Seville is “The Opera City” being central in over 150, some of them universal productions by prime authors i.e. Beethoven, Bizet, Donizetti, Haendel, Mozart, Rossini, Scarlatti, Verdi. “Carmen”, “Il Barbiere di Siviglia”, “Don Giovanni”, “La Favorite”, “Fidelio”, “Le Nozze di Figaro”, “La Forza del Destino”…. are some of the operas inspired by Seville with locations, many of them real, that you will have the opportunity to visit and enjoy.
